When Cristalier Designer #6 faced the challenge to create a Tuscan Inspired Crystal Tree in one hour or less, the first thing that came to mind was...
 "I Chainti wait!"
 
She wouldn't have to wait long, Tuscan or Vineyard weddings are so popular they are taking over  wineries year around.

Inspiration:
I attended a amazing wedding at a vineyard in Sonoma last year. I thought the whole thing was perfect. From the smell of the wine barrels, to the singing birds and the rich elegant colors. It was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.
 
Biggest Challenge:
Deciding which color od purple crystals to use. I like the contrast of the light purple with the amber and red. I tried the dark purple at first, but it seemed to need a lighter color.
  
Favorite Feature:
The vines; they were so easy to loop throught the branches.
  
Alternate Ideas:
You could use the darker purple crystals with the light purple garland and omit the red and amber crystals all together.  
  
Final thoughts:
I didn't add any votives just because there was vines, grapes and crystals all hanging down, but if I had battery operated votive candles, I would have.

Metal Tree Color: The Bronze artificial tree was a must have color. The twisted trunk works perfectly with this theme.
 
Tree Size: I used the 5 foot tall brown metal tree. This is the standard size that most people feel comfortable to use. The fact the branches are strong and the twigs can be bent make adding large items like grapes easy.  
 
Crystal Type: .For this Tuscan inspired design, I mixed amber, red and light purple colored glass strands. I feel this design would have been just as pretty with acrylic strands also.
 
Crystal Count:Since the grapes were so large, I felt that creating a really full tree with crystals would be a bit too much. I opted to go light on the crystals and use them as more of an accent feature. I used a total of 60 feet of strands on this tree. 
 
Accessories: There was only 7 bunches of grapes available so I used what there was. I would like to pint out that the grape bunches were heavy. They weighed about 1 pound per bunch. The branches and twigs on the metal crystal wedding tree was able to easily support the weight of the grapes, crystals and the vines.
 
Tree Base: I didn't know we were supposed to include the base,so I didn't.

If you didn't want to use faux grapes, you could add our glass grapes to the end of the strands.
